Microchipping - No its not a GPRS system
Let us clear the misconception first before getting on to the facts:
Microchips are not GPRS enabled devices that you can track the whereabouts of your pet sitting in any part of the world. What made you think this technology would be affordable? We at the clinic wished this was true, we would solve the case of missing pets in a jiffy.
The Real deal:
Microchips are as small as a grain of rice and is inserted below the skin of your pet near the shoulder blade. As GOOGLE describes it: ” A microchip is permanent and can‘t be separated from the pet. If your dog or cat is lost or stolen, the chip and it’s registration is definitive proof of ownership. This is particularly helpful in the case of stolen pets when ownership might be in dispute.” Unquote….
